Jontez Williams

CAREER: Throughout his four-year career at Iowa State, Williams has recorded 67 tackles, including 3.5 for loss of 5 yards, 15 PBUs and 5 INTs while appearing in 32 games with 29 starts.

2026: Williams, who transferred to USC from Iowa State in January of 2026 and was the No. 1 cornerback in the transfer portal, looks to compete for playing time as a redshirt senior cornerback in 2026.

IOWA STATE: As a redshirt junior in 2025, Williams played and started season's first five games before suffering a season-ending knee injury against Arizona. He tallied 15 tackles, including 1.5 for loss of 2 yards, 2 PBUs and 1 INT. He recorded 5 tackles, including 0.5 for loss of 1 yard, against Kansas State. He recorded 4 tackles versus South Dakota and 2 tackles, including 1 for loss of 1 yard against Iowa. He collected 1 tackle against Arkansas State and 3 tackles and 1 INT versus Arizona.

As a redshirt sophomore in 2024, Williams collected 46 tackles, including 2 for loss of 3 yards, 5 PBUs and 4 INTs while appearing in 14 games with 12 starts. He was named to the

All-Big 12 Second Team: . He had 11 tackles, including 1 for loss of 2 yards and 12 PBU against North Dakota. He had 2 tackles, including 1 for loss of 1 yard against Iowa. He notched 1 tackle and 1 PBU versus Arkansas State. He had 1 tackle and 1 INT against Houston. He totaled 4 tackles and 1 INT against Baylor. He notched 6 tackles and 1 INT versus West Virginia. He had 3 tackles and 1 INT against UCF. He tallied 2 tackles versus Kansas and 2 tackles against Cincinnati. He collected 3 tackles against Utah and 3 tackles and 2 PBUs against Kansas State. He had 3 tackles and 2 PBUs and 8 tackles and 1 PBU against Miami in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

As a redshirt freshman in 2023, Williams tallied 6 tackles and 3 PBUs while appearing in all 13 games with 2 starts. He had 1 PBU against Northern Iowa and 1 PBU versus Iowa. He had 1 tackle against Ohio and 3 tackles versus TCU. He tallied 1 tackle against Kansas and 1 PBU versus Texas. He had 1 tackle against Memphis in the Liberty Bowl.

He did not see any action as a true freshman in 2022.

HIGH SCHOOL: Williams, a three-star recruit, was rated as the No. 190 player in the state of Florida by ESPN and No. 247 by 247Sports. He was touted as the No. 128 cornerback in the country by ESPN and No. 178 by 247Sports.

Williams was a four-year letterman who saw action at defensive back, wide receiver, running back and quarterback throughout his high school career. He recorded over 1,000 receiving yards, 6 INTs and 60 tackles in his prep career.

As a senior in 2021, he caught 34 passes for 653 yards (19.2 avg.) with 3 TDs. Defensively, he had 3 INTs. He was named to the Class 1A All-State Second Team.

He also played basketball and competed in track and field.

PERSONAL: He earned his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Iowa State. He is currently pursuing a certificate in Gerontology from USC. His father, Andrew Williams played football at Miami and went on to play in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos. He earned placement on the 2023 All-Big 12 Academic First Team and the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in Fall 2022,Spring 2023, Fall 2023 and Fall 2024.
