As a junior in 2022, he made the transition from wide receiver to cornerback. Johnson was impactful on special teams and blocked multiple kicks and punts. Seminole went 9-3 and earned placement in the Florida 3M playoffs. He missed most of his sophomore season in 2021 due to injury. Johnson also ran track and was part of a 4x400 team that won the regional title and took second at the Florida 4A State Meet. He also competed in the 100m where he posted a 11.31 time in 2022.
