HERD FILE: McCartherens joins the Thundering Herd secondary after transferring to Marshall from Buffalo where he was a three-year starter for the Bulls. He chose to come to Marshall over Boise State and JMU. In 2025, he played in four games, registering nine tackles with a forced fumble and a sack.
